Sierra Darmaga is a 17-year-old aspiring artist residing in the greater Toronto area whose passion for art drives her. Being admitted into and attending Unionville High School for visual arts as well as challenging herself with an international baccalaureate visual arts course in which she received grade-based honours, she has had an array of opportunities to explore and display her talents. In her lifetime of making hundreds of pieces, she has won multiple art awards including a regional gold key as well as a national gold medal for her works submitted to the National Scholastics Art and Writing Awards. Inspired by the great artists of the renaissance and their techniques, she has recently focused on creating realistic and capturing pieces that have garnered her commissioned work. Within other pieces, however, she uses art as a medium to express emotion and convey what cannot be captured with words.
